Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Her clinical work focuses on providing therapy/play therapy to children and adults who experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, home insecurity, other traumatic experiences, and biracial identity issues and concerns. Her research interests encompass multicultural training, clinical implications for the multiracial population, and issues concerning those identifying as LGBTQI+ and living with a chronic illness and/or disability.

Professional Activities

Dr. Huffstead has published articles, a book chapter, and presented a wealth of mental health training/workshops.
